Today is International Semicolon Day, which hits different when you have one tattooed on your wrist and a date burned into your brain. November 19th, 2015 is the day I swallowed a fistful of Xanax because I "Just needed to sleep." A few days later, I wrote about it from the psych ward with a ballpoint pen and a paper cup of hospital coffee.
